NJ Disc Golf Hall of Fame

Yes, we have such a thing! many other states have established State Halls of Fame over the years for disc golf. In 2016, NJ did the same. Founders Frank Gualtieri, Adam Harris and Jeff Mahler created the NJ Disc Golf Hall of Fame. To be considered for enshrinement, a person must have demonstrated excellence within the sport as a player or major contributor (course builder, TD, ambassador) etc. They must have NJ ties either thru birth, residence or schooling, with most of their disc golf achievement being within our state. They must also be or have been a member of the PDGA .
Classes are inducted on a two year cycle, beginning in 2017 with our very first class of honorees. Our Hall of Fame Committee, consisting of the three above listed members plus Matt LaCourte and Scot Wittman, vote on prospective enshrinees from a master list of candidates compiled from our own research or nominations from others in the disc golf community.
We will be inducting two people into the class of 2021 in a ceremony scheduled for October 30th at Camp Tecumseh. Details will be forthcoming regarding the event itself and the day's itinerary. In the meantime save the date: it will be a wonderful tribute to two of the game's deserving players!
