Autumn at Allaire-2022

Postby Ramsfan1 » Sun Oct 30, 2022 6:30 pm

Greetings to all who are playing in Saturday's Autumn at Allaire event!. This is The Central Jersey Disc Golf Club's final sanctioned event for the 2022 season. The Club thanks Two Johns Productions, John McGinley and John Birkrem for serving as TDs for Saturday's event. We have worked hard to make the course look nice and preparations will continue throughout the week. Below are some day of procedures we'd like players to observe. PLEASE CAREFULLY READ everything!

First, we ask players NOT TO ARRIVE BEFORE 7:15 a.m. The Club must set up for the event and put people in place to establish a parking pattern, as we have limited space in the main lot. Additional parking will be available in the overflow lot across the street, but we nonetheless encourage people to carpool if possible. Player check-in is from 7:45-8:30. As a courtesy to your TDs, please don't walk up at the last minute. During check-in you will receive your custom disc player pack and caddy guide. If you have a CJDGC tag, please place it in the container on the table. If you'd like to purchase a tag to support the club, they are available for the bargain basement price of $10 for the remainder of the season. The Club will also have grab bags available for $20, a super deal, of 3-disc packages of new or lightly used discs. Every pack is randomly assembled and has at least one if not two premium plastic discs. Though we have a Club PayPal account, cash is always easiest for us, so bring cash!

We will have a brief players meeting at 8:40 a.m. This will be followed by a walk to your holes and a 9:00 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be used and a code will be given to you at the meeting. A second scoring method, be it U Disc or paper scorecard, must be used by a member of your group. Round one will feature a layout of all main tees except for hole 6 which will be played from the short tee both rounds. In round two we will play alternate 4 and alternate (long) 7. The only OB in the event is a disc landing in the parking lot or the main road. Hole 17 is an island hole which must be reached off the drive or a stroke penalty is incurred followed by a throw from the drop zone.

Players will have one hour for lunch after the last card is submitted. We encourage you to pack a lunch to prevent mass movement in the parking lot, If you leave for lunch, please consider visiting Club Sponsor Bruno's Pizza and Restaurant in nearby Farmingdale. There will be NO porta potty on site; take care of bathroom needs before you arrive! Public bathrooms can be accessed down the street at the visitor's center if necessary. All questions/requests for division changes, refunds and wait listing should be addressed with the Two Johns through the disc golf scene site. Course information and on-site questions can be handled by Frank Gualtieri of the CJDGC.

Thank you all for playing today and supporting the efforts of our club and the sport of disc golf. We hope you enjoy your day!
