The Cubby Classic- 2024 Procedures

Postby Ramsfan1 » Sun Apr 07, 2024 9:07 am

Greetings to all who are playing Saturday's tournament. This is our most meaningful event of the year, and we are grateful for those participating- thank you!! Acknowledgements, the day's layout and rules will all be shared during the player meeting. Listed below are some day-of procedures we ask players to follow. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY.

Arrival- Check in begins at 8:00 a.m. We ask that no one arrives before 7:30 a.m. Parking is always a challenge at Allaire, and early arrivals complicate things. We need time to put club members in place to organize the parking pattern. Upon arrival, everyone will be given a caddy guide and AMs will receive a custom disc. The overflow lot across the street will once again be accessible to us.

Tags- Tags are in play today. If you have a JSDGC Tag, please place it in the container on the table. Include the lanyard!! They will be redistributed at the end of the event.

Club Store- We plan to have the club store set up all day. Though we always prefer cash, we do have a Venmo account for purchases.

Raffle/CTP contest/Cubby Discs- We will be running a raffle and giving aways some really nice prizes, including a prodigy bag, set of discs, gift cards, a gift basket and a lightly used portable Dynamic Recruit basket. Tickets are $1 each, six for $5 or an arm's length for $10. In addition, Dave will be organizing a CTP contest and we will be selling some of Cubby's personal discs for $10 each. Bring extra cash; we are not honoring electronic payments for the raffle. 100% of the proceeds from all of these endeavors will be sent to St. Jude's Children's Hospital in the name of Carl Cubbedge.

Bathrooms- There will not be a porta potty on site. There are clean public bathrooms down the street at the Visitors' Center.

Lunch- We encourage players to pack a lunch since getting in and out of the parking lot is difficult. If you must obtain lunch, restaurant options include Tony's Pizzeria in Farmingdale and The Allenwood General Store five minutes from the course.

Trash- As a courtesy, we will have a single large trash can at check-in. A reminder that Allaire is a carry in, carry out facility.

Any other revisions or announcements will be updated throughout the week or shared Saturday morning. Looking forward to a special day!
